Symptoms of Insomnia in Early Pregnancy

Insomnia in Second and Third Trimester

While insomnia is quite common in the first trimester, that is, in the early pregnancy period of woman, it can also occur during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy due to inflated waistline. Getting used to the new figure during pregnancy is difficult for most women and they end up frequently tossing as well as turning for the better part of the night resulting in insomnia. At times there would be acute pain in the legs and one needs to walk around to ease them. This will further hamper the chances of peaceful sleep and the results would be insomnia.

Common Phenomenon

During early pregnancy, insomnia often turns out to be a common phenomenon. Scientific research and experiments have revealed that most women in their early pregnancy suffer from same amount of insomnia attacks. Even when they do not suffer it in the early stages of pregnancy, they could suffer it latter and the amount could still be the same as in case of early pregnancy period.

Instead of ignoring the symptoms when they show up, it would be good to go for treatment that could be with doctors, psychiatrics, or physiotherapists. Main aim in all these cases will be the same; getting rid of insomnia in early pregnancy insomnia.
